Living In God’s Imagination
God has created the whole entire universe. He made you and me and all the pretty flowers you see. But just like anything else it all began with a thought. A thought of what the world might look like, how we might look like. Looking around at nature, the complexities of the human body, and the vastness of space gives us clues as to what was going on in the mind of God at the time of creation. The uniqueness and detail of such things and many more could only have come from a truly great, creative being. Not to mention, an imaginative being at that. Like a child has imaginary friends they act as if are real, God must’ve had an image in mind of the world that felt real before ever being created. There must’ve been a vision of what water would look like, what clouds could do, what the kidneys function would be and why the tiniest of bugs exist. This incredible imagination has brought you to who you are at this very moment. Without such imagination or maybe with a different god things would look vastly different. However, it's this God, whose imagination is so extraordinary, that can only imagine the speed at which your toenails grow. So, essentially, as we move about in this world and carry out our lives, we are all experiencing the imagination of God. And what better use for the initial imagination than to exercise our own imaginations to produce beautiful things just like God did? Now, what I believe we should be doing with our lives is a story for a different day, but if I could offer any guidance right now, it would be to live out your own imagination while we live in God's.
